Think about it, a 10G force is enough to accelerate you to 217mph in a second.

The forces involved are transient and don’t last an entire second, so that 10g force mentioned isn’t really comparable.
How about 214Gs? Kenny Brack, 1999 Indy 500 winner, experienced this record-setting crash in 2003:
He survived. Yeah, he was a little messed up, mostly his ankle, but he came out of this alive and continues to drive competitively to this day.
